Open to the Public!
The MSU Sailing Center was gifted to the University in the spring of 1997 and since then administered by MSU's Recreational Sports and Fitness Services Department. The facility consists of a one-quarter acre lot located in Meridian Township on the southwest shore of Lake Lansing about five miles from the MSU campus.
We have taught many participants how to sail through our "Learn to Sail" programs. More than half have been MSU students, the remainder consists of MSU Faculty/Staff, alumni and the general public. More information about "Learn to Sail" and other programs offered by the MSU Sailing Center can be found here. Programs are appropriate for all ages, and varying skill levels.
